My name is Maliha, and I’m the founder of The Ilm Corner.
My journey began a few years ago when our family moved from the GTA to the cozy and welcoming city of Windsor. As a homeschooling mom, I was drawn to Windsor’s close-knit community and peaceful atmosphere — it was the perfect place for our family.

But there was one thing I deeply missed: access to quality Islamic books for my children.
Back in the GTA, Islamic bookstores were always within reach. I could walk in, browse shelves filled with meaningful stories, and pick up books that enriched our learning and brought our values to life. When we moved to Windsor, I was surprised to find there wasn’t a single Islamic bookstore in the city. I found myself saving up book runs for trips back to the GTA.

That’s when I realized — if I was feeling this gap, other families probably were too.
The Ilm Corner was born from that need. A home-based bookstore offering carefully curated Islamic books for families like mine and yours — families who prioritize faith, learning, and access to beautiful, enriching stories.

As a homeschooling mom myself, every book I stock is one I’ve personally considered for our own home. I only carry titles I’d genuinely put in my children’s hands — books that are beautifully made, Islamically grounded, and actually engaging for kids. If it doesn’t meet that standard, it doesn’t make the shelf.
