My name is Maliha, and I’m the founder of The Ilm Corner.

My journey began a few years ago when our family moved from GTA to the cozy and welcoming city of Windsor. As a homeschooling mom, I was drawn to Windsor’s close-knit community, and peaceful atmosphere—it was the perfect place for our family.

But there was one thing I deeply missed: access to quality Islamic books for my children.

Back in the GTA, Islamic bookstores were always within reach. I could walk in, browse shelves filled with meaningful stories, and pick up books that enriched our learning and emphasized our values. When we moved to Windsor, I was surprised to find there wasn’t a single Islamic bookstore in the city. I found myself waiting for trips back to the GTA to stock up on books.

That’s when I realized—if I was missing this resource, other families probably were too.

The Ilm Corner was born from that need: a home-based bookstore offering carefully curated, high-quality Islamic books for families like mine and yours—families who prioritize faith, learning, and access to beautiful, enriching stories.
